School Board Election – (3rd Tuesday in April) April 15, 2025
To be held in: Irvington and Newark.

• Last day to file petitions  (50 days prior to election), February 24, 2025
• Last day for registration and transfer (21 days prior to election), March 25, 2025
• Last day to apply by mail for a Vote-By-Mail Ballot (7 days prior to election), April 8, 2025
• NOTE: The following Municipalities have moved their School Board Elections to the General Election in November: Belleville, Bloomfield, Caldwell, West Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Livingston, Millburn, North Caldwell, Nutley, Orange, Roseland, South Orange/Maplewood, Verona, West Orange and the West Essex Regional School District. • Last day to apply by mail for a Vote-By-Mail Ballot (7 days prior to election), June 3, 2025
• Primary Early Voting: June 6, 7 & 8, 2025

General Election (1st Tuesday after 1st Monday in November) – November 4, 2025

• Last day to file Independent petitions, June 3, 2025
• Last day to file School Board Election petitions (last Monday in July), July 28, 2025
